..MONEY EYES (formerly MOUTH)

I don’t know of any other DSLR camera manufacturers that provide HD video on their DSLR camera products. Now, there is one! Nikon is the first DSLR manufacturer to provide HD video capability, namely HD720p video on its D90 DX DSLR. The bad news is that I already bought a DSLR camera. The good news is that even though the D90 DX will be in the market soon enough, the price is still out of my budget.

Some of the Nikon D90 features:

• HD720p video capture (w/ audio)
• One-button Live View with Face Detection System
• 3″ LCD 920,000 pixel resolution
• 11-point AF
• Continuous shooting as fast as 4.5 frames-per-second

I can buy two of my current Olympus e-420 for the price of the D90 which is about $1300 retail 18-105mm lens kit & $1000 for body only. Nikon offers perhaps the best low light capability cameras & the D90 DX has an ISO6400 capability. The D90 DX is targeted at the advanced amateur market. With the D90 DX, users have a taste of using the Nikon flagship model, the D3 & receive the HD720p video capability to boot! It’s the first of its kind. Nikon is definitely making the correct move to win over a chunk of big spending DSLR users worldwide with the D90 DX.

Where is the big money where my money only increases by leaps & bounds? Forex is my money impulsively up or down so it’s a big NO for me. Stocks & futures is my money moving precariously so it’s a NO for me too. Blogging is good but Google controls your money. Microstock photography has good potential but it tests my patience, possibly just only in the beginning. Article writing takes the most patience as rewards come after many years.

Architecture is an insane workload & I do not like making making scale models let alone schematic drawings. Structural engineering is a bunch of Fs that I do not know yet its meaning. I would probably have to find a degree online for it. Internet computing is a field that has me look at the computer monitor day in n day out which bores my eyes. Out of my options, I think MS photography is the most fun. I think I shall stick with it a while longer at least until I find something else other than the aforementioned that can make for me my ‘BIG MONEY’!

The Nikon D700 is alluring as a professional grade DSLR camera that it makes me feel extra good to be writing a blog post about it. The surprising thing is that I am not much of a Nikon fan. Sure, they have some splendid cameras but their prices are at the top end of the pro-sumer DSLR market. Needless to say, I cannot afford a professional Nikon DSLR just yet. The Nikon D700 is one of their splendid cameras & also one of the pricey cameras from Nikon.

Functions aside, the D700 is a one big & ugly camera. Even the D3, which is bigger, has a more compact look to it. The D700 has more empty spaces on the lens area which makes the part look bland & hollow. Sure, other parts look compact like the shutter button & the other side but the lens area does little justice to the D700 for being a smaller version of Nikon’s flagship DSLR, the D3 concept. Nonetheless, you can use a bigger lens to make the lens area look more filled.
