DSLR Camera: An All in One Multi Media Gadget

Nowadays you can see many DSLR cameras having features that were not possible in the past. One such feature is the HD video capability namely from Nikon. So the question is what can you expect from future DSLR cameras? Will they incorporate more features that can be found on HD video cameras & possibly cell phones & even laptops too? The image below expresses the notion of the DSLR camera being an all in one multimedia gadget.

A future DSLR camera would have multiple hard disk drives, a touch screen interface, cell phone, speakers, radio, mp3, a mouse connection & even a handicapped person feature! (Who the heck knows how to use the handicap feature?) Lol. You can expect the camera manual to be a few inches thick! It seems a bit on the exaggerating end of things but we did not think that it was possible for DSLR cameras to have HD video capability a few years ago. Blu-ray DVD burner in a DLSR camera; what a joke!

Say you just recently bought some flash mono-lights studio lighting equipment. You can adjust the intensity of the flashes by using the dials or buttons at the back end of the mono-lights. A situation arises where you are using the lowest flash intensity of the mono-lights yet the photo still come out as nuked, blow, over exposed or whatever you want to call it like in the below picture.

Nikon D700: D3 in a Smaller & Lighter Package

The Nikon D700 is alluring as a professional grade DSLR camera that it makes me feel extra good to be writing a blog post about it. The surprising thing is that I am not much of a Nikon fan. Sure, they have some splendid cameras but their prices are at the top end of the pro-sumer DSLR market. Needless to say, I cannot afford a professional Nikon DSLR just yet. The Nikon D700 is one of their splendid cameras & also one of the pricey cameras from Nikon.

Functions aside, the D700 is a one big & ugly camera. Even the D3, which is bigger, has a more compact look to it. The D700 has more empty spaces on the lens area which makes the part look bland & hollow. Sure, other parts look compact like the shutter button & the other side but the lens area does little justice to the D700 for being a smaller version of Nikon’s flagship DSLR, the D3 concept. Nonetheless, you can use a bigger lens to make the lens area look more filled.
