Diffused In-Built Flash Camera Shot

The above picture is one taken without any studio lighting & only a diffused on camera flash from my DSLR. Basically, I was bored & having one of those days where you run out of ideas for photo subject material. The above picture is I think, not one of the best of the Mysterious Ball series. Nonetheless, the use of only a flash diffuser provides a subtle glow for setting a centrally focused sunset mood. Oh, who am I kidding?

I just post the picture to show you readers some of the extra photos I took for stock selling online. I only select the photos which I think are the best for stock photography sales. Touching it up would not be worth my while it in my opinion because the lighting is not conceptual enough to bring out the subject matter commercially. Whoops, I’m blabbing again. Sorry. Anyway, one copy of the above subject matter did sell over at Shutterstock & it was a well lighted one.

Shopped in Direct Photo Thanks to Location Map

Recently I went shopping to buy my photo studio lighting equipment for my stock photography business. I had a few photo studio lighting equipment retailers in Kuala Lumpur to visit on my list. They include Direct Photo in Cheras, DigiColor at Jalan Ipoh, & well, not much else. So, I decided to visit Direct Photo in Cheras as the shop was the closest to me. Arriving to the shop was quite difficult for me because I had not been to the area for years; in fact, more than five years.

Direct Photo does provide a location map on its website (DirectPhoto.com.my) to make one’s life easier to find the shop. I admit; I got quite lost on the first try. Soon enough I was waiting in the comfortable sofa laden customer seating area in Direct Photo. When I arrived to the shop, I already saw one of their employees testing the Tianlai Golden Eagle light kit that I wanted to buy, how convenient for me. The employee suggested that I try the light kit & I found that it was good enough for the task at hand.

I Don’t Need the Zuiko 40-150mm Kit Lens

At first, I was informed by Annie Seow of Foto Miami that I can purchase my new Olympus e-420 with inclusive package (prices shown below) over at Photo Flash in Ampang Point. Photo Flash is the closest retail camera shop nearest to my home & I felt happy not having to travel far to do my purchase. I felt that it is almost as easy as buying catheters online.

MYR 2400 ($750): 2 kit lens Olympus e-420, 1 tripod, 1 photo bag, 1 CF Ultra II storage card

MYR 2000 ($625): 1 kit lens Olympus e-420, 1 tripod, 1 photo bag, 1 CF Ultra II storage card

However, things did not turn out quite as I expected because the Photo Flash only had the 2 kit lens Olympus e-420 in stock. I wanted to buy the 1 kit lens Olympus e-420 & shall have to wait about a week to buy it from the store as they had to put in the order & have it sent to the shop. I had no use for the other lens even though it would cost me about triple the cost to buy in individually other than in the package. Additionally, the other lens is, I have read, performs below average for its purpose & I shall can do better photos with a more advanced $800 lens in the future. Still, using telephoto lens is not in my business plan for the next few months or even a year or two.
